Echoes of the Sea (2012)
Echoes of the Sea is an animated adaptation of oral stories from the Colombian Caribbean, passed down by artisan fisherman José Camargo. The project explores the emotional landscape of a vanishing coastal culture.
Created using rotoscoping techniques in Photoshop and After Effects, this film was one of my earliest storytelling experiments. Originally trained as a classical music composer, Echoes of the Sea was the project that pushed me to change careers, and convinced me that telling visual stories is what I want to dedicate my life to.
